Umer Aslam Khan, Barrister-at-Law, has been handling our Islamabad Office. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales (Lincoln’s Inn) and has an L.L.B (Hons) from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom. Umer Aslam Khan is an Advocate of the Supreme Court. He in the past has been involved in the key matters of Civil Suits, Corporate & Commercial laws, Arbitrations, Banking matters, Service Laws, Telecommunication Laws, Family Laws and Criminal Trials and Appeals. He is also placed on the legal panel for MCB & HBL and has provided key opinions and legal representation at both the District and High Court level in crucial matters involving all the matters related to Banking Laws, in Pakistan. He also has a wide range of experience in telecom matters and has previously provided legal aid to Pakistan Telecommunication (PTCL) on various issues including their license and Universal Service Funds (USF) contributions.
He has a wide range of experience in conducting due diligences with regard to acquisition of various power companies and petroleum companies. He has been involved in some key arbitrations wherein, his work included preparation of claims, evidentiary documents, cross examination of witnesses and final arguments. He is continuously involved in drafting legal opinions regarding title to numerous immovable properties for clients leasing or purchasing such properties in Pakistan and advising clients regarding the regulatory framework of litigation, representing clients at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. On a consistent basis his advisory services include drafting and assisting in the preparation of legal opinions on various corporate and commercial matters, drafting and vetting of agreements such as sale of property, lease and rent agreements, shareholders and share purchase agreements and all general corporate commercial agreements as required. He is also placed on the High Court Free Legal Aid Panel, to seek justice for people without means.
